There are several ways to connect your iPhone with a projector depending on your iPhone model and the projector's capabilities. Here's how to project the iPhone's screen.

Adapter for wired connection:
Many projectors come with HDMI or VGA ports. If your iPhone has a Lightning port (iPhone 5 and newer), you can use a Lightning to HDMI or Lightning to VGA adapter to connect your iPhone to the projector. These adapters can be purchased from Apple or other manufacturers.

Wireless Connection using AirPlay:
AirPlay allows you to wirelessly mirror the iPhone's screen if you have an Apple TV, or a projector compatible with AirPlay. For this to work, you must connect both your iPhone and projector to the same WiFi network. Swipe down from the upper right corner (on newer iPhone models) or swipe upwards from the bottom (on old iPhone models) to open the Control Center. Tap on "Screen Mirroring" and select your projector's name.

Wireless Connection using Miracast and Chromecast
Some projectors are compatible with Miracast, Android's version AirPlay or Chromecast. If your projector supports these technologies, you might need to download a corresponding app on your iPhone and follow the instructions to connect to the projector wirelessly.

Projector Apps:
Apps are available in the App Store to help you project content directly from your iPhone onto a projector. These apps often require both your iPhone and the projector to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Examples of such apps include Reflector and Mirroring360.

USB-C to HDMI Adapter (for newer iPhones):
You can connect your iPhone directly with the projector if you have an iPhone 12 or later that has a USB C port.

Projector with built-in iPhone dock:
Some projectors have built-in iPhone docks, which allow you to dock your iPhone and project the content. However, this option might be less common nowadays.

Before purchasing any adapters or devices, make sure to check the compatibility requirements and capabilities of your projector and iPhone model. Consider the available connectivity options as well as the quality of projection you are aiming for.
